Life Legacy
Penelope Ann Theresa Kane MacDonald (Penny), 79 passed suddenly on June 26, 2012. Penny is a lifetime resident of Greenwich, born to Thomas and Catherine Barrett Kane in 1932. Penny was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rye Brook. She is predeceased by her husband George Alphonsus MacDonald, her son George and sister Kathleen Gospodinoff.
Penny is survived by her loving children Michael of Greenwich, daughter Kit and husband Scott Grant of Stamford, Peter and wife Cindy of Port Orange, FL and Paul and wife Diana of Ridgefield. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren Colleen Cahn, Erin, Casey and Robin MacDonald, great grandchild Charlotte Cahn as well as her sisters Mary Russell and Patsy Jura.
Penny lived a very full, extraordinary life filled with love of family, the arts, horticulture, music and adored friends. She was a member of Oriental Brush Artist’s Guild, YWCA Aqua Aerobics, and Greenwich Senior Center.
Friends and family may call at the Fred D. Knapp & Son Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave. Greenwich, on Fri. June 29, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 761 King Street at Comly Ave, Rye Brook, NY on Sat. June 30, 2012 at 10am.
